Categories: Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Director, Best Designer: Set, Best Designer: Costume, Best Designer: Lighting, Best Production, Best Opera Production, Judges' Special Award, Special Tribute Award. Opera productions are also eligible for nomination in the Design categories.
Open to: The awards are open to all new theatre and opera productions performed by professional theatre companies in Ireland, North and South.
Selection procedure: Three judges attend all eligible productions within each calendar year and compile a shortlist of up to four in each category. Those selected for the shortlist are announced in January in the Irish Times.
Presentation/announcement of awards: The awards are presented every February at a gala prize-giving ceremony in Dublin.

The call for nominations takes place in February and March each year, with the gala awards ceremony taking place in June. Success at these high-profile awards raises the profile of your organisation within your business sector and within the wider business community.

The Irish Times Living Dublin Awards are divided into five categories for awards to projects that improve the quality of life in our communities. One of these categories is Culture and Tourism. One award is made from each category.
Individuals, groups, venues of companies who have initiated creative or cultural events in Dublin are invited to enter. Projects could involve organising a festival, exhibition or arts event.
Prize: €25,000 divided between the five categories.

Competition Details: Open to new playwrights in receipt of their first professional production in each calendar year.
Prizes: Stewart Parker New Playwright Bursary (stg£8,000); BBC Radio Drama Award (stg£1,000 plus an invitation to submit a play for production); BBC Irish Language Award (stg£1,000 plus an invitation to submit a play for production).
Application Procedure: A non-submission award. Eligible writers are identified from the database of the Irish Playography, with decisions on awards made by the Trustees and appointed advisers. Professional theatre companies may wish to contact the Trust to ensure that all eligible debut playwrights are being considered.
Closing Date: End of calendar year
